Course Objective
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 places specific duties and responsibilities to duty holders such as designers and contractors to make them accountable for the consideration and management of Health and Safety on construction sites. The CDM Awareness Training course is designed to provide learners with a practical knowledge of key requirements under the CDM regulations.

- The new CDM Regulations which came into force on 6 April 2015.
- The relationship between client, main contractor and sub-contractor
- Minimising the risk of serious injuries and workplace fatalities on construction sites
- Understanding the importance of planning for and integrating safety management in to the planning and design stages of construction projects
- Creating a safety file
- Risk assessments
- Method statements
- How to create a competence file
- Ensure work policies and procedures are complying with the law
Entry Requirement
- A good understanding of spoken and written English
- All candidates will need to provide their own appropriate PPE for training and testing purposes
