About NPORS

The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) stands tall as one of the UK’s premier Accreditation and Registration Bodies. NPORS Operational Routes:

Traditional Route: Successful candidates receive an NPORS operator registration card and/or certification confirming their professional skills and competence, valid for 3 years.
CSCS Route: Upon completion, candidates receive a red trained operator card (valid for 2 years). Within this period, an NVQ for the relevant plant category must be completed. A blue competent operator card is then issued, valid for 5 years. Candidates need to have passed the CSCS HSE Operatives touch screen test within the last 2 years.

Theory Training: A key aspect to safely operating plant within a working environment is largely down to having a strong underpinning knowledge of the machine’s capabilities and limitations as well as the relevant health and safety requirements of your site, through our comprehensive theory training we aim to embed this knowledge in preparation for your career.
Test Only: For those seeking validation of their existing skills, our test-only option is available.

Admission Criteria

Language Proficiency: A proficient understanding of spoken and written English is essential for all candidates. For individuals not fluent in English, interpreters can be arranged upon request to ensure clear communication.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Candidates are required to provide their own appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for both training and testing purposes. Ensuring compliance with safety standards, candidates must arrive prepared with the necessary gear.
CITB HS&E Test Completion (CSCS route only): All candidates who want to go down the CSCS route must have successfully completed the relevant CITB Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) test within two years of their scheduled CPCS test date.
